桃子视频 alumna听Tracy Layden ’13听recently authored a听听on travel tips for senior听肠颈迟颈锄别苍s as part of her work at Alert1, a company that provides medical emergency response systems to help the elderly stay safe and independent in their homes.听
As head of marketing,听Layden directs everything the organization’s members see and experience, from when they first visit Alert1’s website to when they open the box of Alert1 products in their homes. She听补濒蝉辞听writes for a variety of online publications, including听Senior Homes, Zillow,听Healthy Women, Maria Shriver, and听Elephant Journal. Her charter is to provide information for older adults about how they can enhance their quality of life.
“My articles often have a pop-culture twist; you never know what topic I’ll cover next,” Layden says.听She听says she “stumbled into this job,” but that it offers the opportunity to use “the perfect mix of the skills I practiced at Scripps,” the creative math major says.

“Marketing at Alert1 allows me to use my math skills to make data-driven decisions that I then build on top of with all of my creativity. It’s a great mix of digging into the numbers, designing websites, interacting with our members, and writing interesting content,” she explains.
听
Layden says听she never听imagined听she’d be working at a company that sells products for seniors, but in her role, she is gratified to be able to help seniors stay in their homes and for caregivers to have the peace of mind that their loved one is safe.听
“We use all of the latest marketing techniques to spread the word about a product that can truly save lives,”听she says.听
Layden’s听liberal arts education is already supporting her transition into business operations.听“I’m particularly enjoying planning out how we can change our world, both within our company, and beyond.”
