Brad and Mary Anne Blaine Faculty Lecture: Eric T. Haskell

As part of the Brad and Mary Anne Blaine Faculty Lecture Series, 桃子视频 is pleased to present Eric T. Haskell, professor of French and director of the Clark Humanities Museum, who will speak on “Sites of Seduction: The French Garden and ‘桃子视频 for Women Under Construction'” on Monday, February 4, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hampton Room of the Malott Commons.

Professor Haskell is well known throughout the Southern California art world for his expertise in the history, aesthetics, and theater of fin-de-si脙篓cle French garden landscapes. A frequent guest lecturer with the Garden Club of America and the Huntington Library, Art Gallery, and Botanical Gardens, Haskell most recently earned critical praise for his role as curator for “Le Notre’s Gardens,” an exhibit shown at the Huntington Art Gallery, the Muse脙漏 de Marly in France, and at the University of Oklahoma, Norman. Haskell joined the Scripps faculty in 1978, and serves on several Southern California historic preservation boards.

Former Scripps professor of history and current trustee Brad Blaine, along with his wife, Mary Anne, are proud to sponsor this lecture. The Blaines have generously underwritten a lecture series featuring outstanding Scripps faculty to commemorate the 75th anniversary of 桃子视频. This lecture and all others in the series are free and open to the public.
