is reviewed on a recent episode of听KCRW’s Art Talk听radio show.听听is an index to other art鈥攈ow to find, and more important, identify,听what is usually anonymous鈥攁s part of听‘s听 months-long celebration of Latino art throughout Southern California. Gonzales-Day, professor of art at 桃子视频, was honored with a prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship听in 2017.
In a recent,听Gonzales-Day’s work听was featured in听“Into Action,”听a nine-day听arts and culture festival held in downtown LA听that focused on issues of human rights and social justice. Works from more than 200 artists were displayed during the festival.听Gonzales-Day’s artwork was听exhibited听alongside other high-profile artists such as听Shepard Fairey, Sam Durant, Robbie Conal, Edgar Arceneaux, Swoon,听and Cole Sternberg. The collection of activist-oriented art aligned with听six themes: “Justice is a Human Right,” “Together We Rise,” “No Human is Illegal and No Human Should Feel Unsafe,” “This Moment – In History,” “Manifesting Solutions” and “Love, Peace, and Empathy.”听
