Carolyn Wu Kurtzig ’97, who received her bachelor’s degree in international relations from Scripps and has served on Scripps’ Board of Trustees since 2017, . Wu Kurtzig, an Elm Tree Society Member, has also served as a Scripps Fund Volunteer, Admission Volunteer, and Reunion Volunteer.
The East-West Center is an educational institution established by Congress in 1960 to build connections and foster cooperation among the peoples of the United States, Asia, and the Pacific Islands. Wu Kurtzig is one of five new appointees who will replace outgoing board members. She is the director of strategy and business operations for Apple. Her previous positions include assistant to the White House’s chief of staff.
